George graduated from Drake Law School with a Juris Doctorate degree (JD) as well as a Litigation and Dispute Resolution certificate. In addition, Mr. Qualley holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Drake University College of Business and Public Administration. While at Drake, Mr. Qualley provided free legal representation to low income clients at the Drake Legal Clinic.
Mr. Qualley is admitted to the Iowa bar, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, Federal District Court for the Southern District of Iowa and The United States Tax Court. He has also appeared in Federal District Court for the Northern District of Iowa. Mr. Qualley has been a member of the American Bar association, the Polk County Bar Association, and the Iowa State Bar Association. In addition, Mr. Qualley previously served on the Technology committee of the Iowa State Bar Association.
George, his wife Betsey, and their daughter Charlotte reside in the historic Drake neighborhood of Des Moines, Iowa where they are in the process of restoring a 19th century Victorian home which the Qualleys saved from demolition by the City of Des Moines. Their home was featured on the 2009 Drake Neighborhood Historic Home tour. In addition, George is an entrepreneur and active member of the Des Moines business community as is his wife Betsey.
